How to Lose Weight After Giving Birth

Losing the weight you gained throughout your pregnancy is a top priority, add a post pregnancy workout to your arsenal to help lose this weight fast. Fortunately for you there are alot of exercises available that are both effective and fun. The following tactics will help you supercharge that workout routine to get you back into your pre-pregnancy clothing in no time.

 The Reverse Curl: Women who have just had babies need to work to strengthen their ab muscles and reverse curls are a great way to do this. For this exercise, lie down on the floor looking up at the ceiling and bend your knees. Your feet need to be just above your hips, your arms need to be lying on the floor next to your trunk, your head rests on the floor, your neck is relaxed and, as you breathe in and out, you bring your abs in and lift your hips off of the floor to the same levels as your ribs. Lower your hips to the floor and then repeat the exercise. Try to do twenty repetitions. If you can't, slowly work up to being able to do 20. Go for fifty after that.

This exercise will really strengthen your abs which will help you lose that pooch and it will also help you walk straighter and with more confidence than ever before. While on your hands and knees with your wrists under your shoulders you can get a workout that will help. Then you will slowly lower yourself until the forearms rest flat on the surface below you. Straighten your legs to make a straight line. Take a deep breath and slowly let it out as you squeeze your abs and hold the position. The next stage of this exercise is a pushup type movement. Three repetitions of this exercise is all you need to shed those pounds. You'll look better have a stronger core and better posture.

 The Bicycle: This doesn't actually mean you will be riding a bicycle. This is an abdominal exercise that is great for post-natal women looking to lose the baby weight. First, lie down on the floor with your knees bent and your calves parallel to your floor. Put your hands behind your head as you take in a deep breathe in and out while sucking in your gut. Keep your rear relaxed while you extend your right leg and rotate your right shoulder to meet your left knee. Your head and shoulders should not be resting on the floor for this movement. Then, after you have gone back to your starting position, do the same thing on the other side. Complete three sets of between twelve and twenty of these and you will soon see that your pregnancy weight is gone. These exercises, if you do them often enough, can give you great results quickly. They are easy to do both while your child is resting and to spread out across your day instead of trying to do everything at once in a larger block of time. Of course, the fastest way to lose the weight is to do them all in a block for 20-30 minutes three times a week. So do these exercises as often as you can, and keep it up, and you'll be fitting into your pre-baby jeans before you even realize it..

Sometimes losing the weight has less to do with it than toning up. These exercises are great for both. I lost the baby weight within 2 weeks of my c-section, but it took more than a year to get back into my favorite pre-pregnancy clothes. I should have implemented a workout like this one. It could have happened a lot sooner.
